Krista Staudt Memorial Scholarship Fund

Shortly after her 2nd birthday, Krista Leigh Staudt was diagnosed with a brain tumor. She courageously fought and won that battle at such a young age. For the next 20 years, Krista lived with the physical and emotional effects the strong cancer treatment left behind. Though faced with such adversity, she was still so loving, caring, kind and giving. When a secondary brain tumor was found, she fought with the same courage and tenacity but lost that battle days after her 22nd birthday. This scholarship fund was established in 2007 by Krista’s family and friends to honor her memory.

The fund will make distributions to provide an annual scholarship to a graduating senior from Governor Mifflin High School, Reading High School and/or Conrad Weiser High School who is either a cancer survivor or who is dealing with or has overcome a medical challenge, has a financial need, and will be furthering his or her education after high school.

No application is needed. This scholarship is awarded by a committee at one or all of the above mentioned schools, with consideration given to all seniors.
