Third Ward Democratic Scholarship Fund in Memory of Kenneth C. Mock was established to provide annual awards to one or more well-rounded students at Southern Middle School in Reading. The fund was named in memory of Kenneth C. Mock, who was a member and past president of the Reading School Board and was employed by the district for 20 years.

Recipients of The Third Ward Democratic Scholarship Fund are selected by a committee at Southern Middle School.
