Franki works with professional advisors and those who are interested in or have established a charitable fund. She also oversees the foundation’s financial and investment activities.
Franki oversees the management of the Community Foundation’s assets as well as managing the operations of the Community Foundation’s building. Franki also works with local estate and financial planners on complex estate planning functions and assists their clients with designing charitable legacies.
Franki received her Bachelor of Science in accounting from Widener University and is a Certified Public Accountant. Through 1995, Franki was a Senior Audit Manager specializing in nonprofit audits for KPMG, Philadelphia. After KPMG, she was a contracted fiscal officer to various companies, including the Community Foundation, where she came aboard full time in 1998.
Franki is a trustee for the Law Foundation of Berks County. She is on the board of the Foundation for the Reading Public Museum and AAA Reading-Berks. She also serves on the finance committee of Berks Nature and Trinity Lutheran Church, Reading.
She is a past president and board member of the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants (PICPA), a current member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accounts (AICPA) Council.
She is a former board member of Alvernia University, and Girl Scouts of Eastern Pennsylvania.
In 2014, Franki received two major awards. Lehigh Valley Business gave her the CFO of the Year Community Service Award and the Greater Reading Chamber of Commerce and Industry selected her for the ATHENA Award, which celebrates women who strive toward the highest level of professional accomplishment.
