Senior Vice President for Finance and Operations
Franki oversees the management of the Community Foundation’s assets as well as managing the operations of the Community Foundation’s building. Franki also works with local estate and financial planners on complex estate planning functions and assists their clients with designing charitable legacies.
Franki received her Bachelor of Science in accounting from Widener University in Chester, Pa., and is a Certified Public Accountant. Through 1995, Franki was a Senior Audit Manager specializing in nonprofit audits for KPMG, Philadelphia. After KPMG, she was a contracted fiscal officer to various companies, including the Community Foundation, where she came aboard full time in 1998.
Franki is co-chair of the Reading chapter of the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants (PICPA) community engagement committee and a member of the chapter fundraiser luncheon committee. At a state level, Franki is on the PICPA audit, finance and budget, and education committees. She also is a board member for the PICPA Foundation for Education and Research.
Franki also is secretary/treasurer of Reading Toastmasters and a trustee for the Law Foundation of Berks County. She also serves on the finance committee of the Berks Conservancy and is a board member and treasurer of Centro Hispano (Hispanic Center).
She is a former board member of the Girl Scouts of Eastern Pennsylvania and Alvernia University.
In 2014, Franki received two major awards. Lehigh Valley Business gave her the CFO of the Year Community Service Award and the Greater Reading Chamber of Commerce and Industry selected her for the ATHENA Award, which celebrates women who strive toward the highest level of professional accomplishment.
