READING, PA (October 1, 2018) – Artwork by students of all ages in the Wilson School District is on public display at Berks County Community Foundation through January 18.
The exhibit opened today. There will be a reception for student artists and their families, friends, teachers, and supporters from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday, October 14.
The exhibit is part of an ongoing series showcasing artwork by students from across Berks County. Previous exhibits featured artwork from the Conrad Weiser, Governor Mifflin, Kutztown, Muhlenberg, Reading, Tulpehocken and Wyomissing school districts, as well as students from area Catholic schools and from students who prepared art for exhibits staged by VOiCEup Berks. VOiCEup Berks is a fund of Berks County Community Foundation that creates opportunities for people to volunteer, learn and lead in their communities.
The exhibits, which feature work in varying media, are a way for the community to show support for schools’ art programs. The eventual goal of this program is to showcase artwork from students representing all schools in Berks County.
The free exhibit will be open to visitors Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
