Jeff Remley could bring a smile to anyone’s face. His reputation as an easygoing person and his ability to get along with everyone was widespread. He graduated from Fleetwood High School and Lehigh University and was an accomplished athlete. This fund was established in 1999 to honor Jeff’s memory.
The purpose of the fund is to provide a scholarship to a senior varsity boy’s soccer player who is pursuing a college degree and has the intent of playing soccer during his collegiate years. A recipient will be sought from Fleetwood High School; however, if no student is identified from Fleetwood, then a student can be selected from another Berks County school. The scholarship recipient shall be a highly-skilled player, who has the desire to compete, and possesses a positive attitude. The recipient does not have to be the best player on the team; however, his attitude should be exemplary.
No application is needed. This scholarship is awarded by a committee at Fleetwood High School, with consideration first given to all Fleetwood seniors.
