Alumni Association of the Reading Hospital School of Health Sciences – Nursing Program Scholarship Fund

This fund provides scholarships to students who are enrolled in The Reading Hospital School of Health Sciences – Nursing Program. In order to apply, applicants must be entering their final year of the Nursing Program. Scholarships will be awarded to students based on academic merit and financial need. Only upon the successful completion of the current course will the student be eligible to receive a scholarship.

Berks County Chapter Daughters of the American Revolution Fund for Education, Historic Preservation, and Patriotic Service

This fund provides awards to Berks County students who win an annual academic contest in which students explore topics central to DAR’s mission.

Berks County Transition Coordinating Council Marty Kester Award

The Berks County Transition Coordinating Council (BCTCC) Marty Kester Award supports graduating high school seniors with disabilities as they transition from school to employment. Students will be recognized for their determination, resilience, and commitment to pursuing a career path that aligns with their skills and aspirations.

Applicants must be high school seniors in Berks County with a documented disability.

This fund provides loans to graduates of the Governor Mifflin Senior High School for use in an accredited post high school program.

Opportunity Scholarship Tax Credit Fund

This fund provides scholarships for Berks County children who reside within the attendance boundary of a low-achieving K-12 school to attend another school. Click learn more to log in to our online application system and apply before the deadline.

Grants support camperships, repairs and maintenance at the Pennsylvania Beacon Lodge Camp for children and adults with special needs.

Scott G. Daelhousen Engineer’s Award Fund

This fund provides two annual awards. One award is given to the student who obtains the highest grade on the annual MathCounts test administered by the Pennsylvania Society of Professional Engineers. The other award is given to the student who wins the annual Reading-Berks Science and Engineering Fair.

This fund provides awards to well-rounded students enrolled in grades six, seven or eight at Southern Middle School in Reading.
