Fund for Berks County

Grants address the most pressing needs in Berks County, as determined from time to time, and support the Community Foundation’s operations.

Penny Jar Fund

Grants help with non-tuition-related needs of college students who have an unexpected financial crisis.

Conservation Equity Fund

Grants support the preservation and/or conservation of open space, environmentally sensitive land, and historic properties in Berks County, including, but not limited to farmland.

Military Assistance Fund

Grants support charitable and educational programs and organizations that help those who served in any of the five branches of the United States of America’s Armed Forces, National Guard, or Military Reserves.

Youth and Philanthropy Fund

Grants help nonprofits address issues that impact young people in Berks County, as recommended by the Youth Advisory Board of Berks County Community Foundation and VOiCEup Berks.

Berks County Arts Fund

Grants support the arts in Berks County.

Community General Hospital Healthcare Fund

Grants support a variety of community health programs in Berks County.

Pamela A. & Gregory Heid’s Fund for the Animals

Grants help animal welfare organizations pay for animal care, food, and medicine.

Diversity Alliance Endowment Fund

Grants support and strengthen projects or programs that address issues affecting the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community in Berks County.

Friends of the Parks Fund
