Fund for Berks County

Grants address the most pressing needs in Berks County, as determined from time to time, and support the Community Foundation’s operations.

The Innovation Fund

The Innovation Fund provides grants to projects focused on improving environmental health and climate resiliency in Berks County. Projects that include collaboration across sectors and/or opportunities for partnership building will be prioritized.

Berks County Arts Fund

The Berks County Arts Fund supports arts and culture organizations that will implement community-focused programs/projects through visual arts.

Berks County Angel Funds

The Community Foundation manages several funds that provide grants of $25 to $1,000 for specific needs of children (under 18) in Berks County.

Dental Treatment Fund

Grants support dental treatment for Berks or Schuylkill County residents who cannot pay for such dental treatment, in honor of the Berks Schuylkill Dental Hygienists Association.

Pets in Need Fund

The Pets in Need Fund provides grants for veterinary care for animals in life-threatening situations.

Bridge Fund

Grants support critical needs of juveniles or those responsible for their care. These individuals are under the jurisdiction of Berks County judges who handle youth or domestic issues.

Power of the Purse in Berks County Fund

The Power of the Purse (POP) in Berks County Fund awards grants to programs that break the cycle of poverty by eliminating or addressing barriers for Berks County girls and/or women who want to enter or re-enter the workforce or seek the education they need to do so.

Teacher Mini-Grants Fund

The Teacher Mini-Grant Program provides grants up to $500 for Berks County K-12 school employees to support a classroom activity or project. The activity or project must improve student learning and enhance the existing curriculum.
