Angelene Jimenez

Marketing Communication Co-Op Intern

Angelene helps with managing the website, social media, and storytelling for the foundation through advertisements.

With a passion for design and community engagement, Angelene plays a vital role in crafting content that showcases the foundation’s work and inspires others to get involved. Their responsibilities include drafting compelling social media posts, assisting with special events, and contributing to the overall communication strategy of the foundation.

Angelene is a sophomore at Drexel University, pursuing a Bachelor of Science in General Studies with concentrations in User Experience & Interaction Design, Fine Arts, and Art History. Beyond academics, Angelene is an active member of the Drexel University Symphony Orchestra, demonstrating their musical talents as a violinist. They are also a dedicated scholar within Drexel’s Westphal BRIDGE Scholar program.

Prior to their position at the Community Foundation, Angelene gained valuable experience in customer service and food preparation at Philly Pretzel Factory and Taqueria Dos Hermanos. Their work ethic and commitment to serving others are evident in their past roles. Additionally, Angelene volunteers with the Buddhist Tzu Chi Foundation, an organization that aligns with their values of compassion and creating a better world.

During their free time, Angelene enjoys a variety of activities. They love socializing with friends and learning new skateboarding tricks. They are also an avid reader of best-selling fiction and have a soft spot for their energetic pitbull puppy, Max. A fun fact about Angelene is that they started scuba diving at 10 years old.
