Ralph H. and Florence Moyer Fund


This fund was established at Berks County Community Foundation in 2008 through the Estate of Ralph H. Moyer.

Grants from this fund support programs related to the cure and study of diabetes, cancer, and heart disease; and provide scholarships for post-secondary study or vocational training to a Berks County youth who who has potential and whose family has a financial need.

The purpose of the scholarship is to provide financial assistance to Berks County Youth (18-30 years of age at time of application) who are pursuing post-secondary education for vocational or technical training , i.e. developing a skill/expertise in a specific field of study, forgoing the general education courses associated with some post-secondary programs. Some examples of vocational or technical education are: HVAC, carpentry, plumbing, electrical, practical nursing, medical secretary, industrial maintenance, dental hygienist. *This opportunity is not eligible for the student who is pursuing a four-year bachelor’s degree.*

Applicants must be Berks County residents who are at least 18 years of age but no older than 30 years of age at time of application and have a financial need. Awards may be used to pay toward tuition, books, application fees, tools, equipment, or clothing required for the program. Students may reapply in a subsequent year.
